Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu checked the progress of the state defense order at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after Chkalov. There he held a working meeting with the participation of the enterprise’s management, at which issues of equipping troops and creating a complex with long-range drones were discussed. In addition, the minister discussed the supply of new types of aviation equipment and Su-34 aircraft to the troops.
“This car (Su-34,— “Ъ”) is the main workhorse, they have four to five flights every day, so you need to tighten up and hurry. We have enterprises that are moving ahead with the 2024 program this year. So we need to organize work here too,” said Sergei Shoigu.
The director of the aircraft plant, Alexander Panasenko, said that the enterprise is now capable of not only producing serial products, but also repairing aircraft. “We learned to do everything. We have experience in replacing the head part, we have practical experience in repairing the tail part, we have experience in repairing boules, this is the most difficult repair from an assembly point of view here,” noted Mr. Panasenko.
