ABC News, citing informed sources, reports that former US President Donald Trump, a few months after leaving the post of head of state, could have disclosed secret information about American submarines to the Australian billionaire in a private conversation.
The publication’s sources claim that investigators looking into the case of Trump’s improper storage of classified documents have questioned Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt. He said that in April 2021 he spoke with the former US president at his Mar-a-Lago estate, expressing the opinion that Australia should buy American submarines, after which Trump revealed to the billionaire how many missiles they carry and how close they can get to Russian submarines, remaining undetected.
It is noted that Pratt shared the information received from the former American leader with at least 45 of his acquaintances, including 6 journalists, 10 Australian officials and 3 ex-prime ministers of the country. Investigators asked the billionaire not to disclose the information received from Trump to anyone else.
