Shoigu arrived in Izhevsk to check the implementation of the state defense order “Kalashnikov”

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived at the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Izhevsk with an inspection. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, arrived on a working trip to Izhevsk, here he will check the implementation of the state defense order by enterprises of the military-industrial complex,” says in the message.

In particular, the Defense Ministry specified that Shoigu will be visited by the Kalashnikov Concern. This enterprise produces high-precision ammunition and small arms.

The day before, December 22, Shoigu arrived to the special operation zone, where he inspected units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In particular, he checked the provision of troops in the field and visited one of the medical units.

December 21 Russian President Vladimir Putin declaredthat the combat power of the Russian army is increasing. He stressed that this process will be increased further.

Back in October, Deputy Head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev declaredthat Russia is multiplying the pace of production of military equipment, so opponents should not hope that the country will run out of weapons. In December he notedthat Russia is increasing the production of the most powerful weapons.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
