“It shocked us all” shared his emotions MMA fighter Jeff Monson, speaking about the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. He added that the tragedy had left him furious. Despite this, Monson did not call for revenge or hatred: “On the contrary, I call you to unity.”

“Our country (Monson, who was born in the US, now has Russian citizenship) has grown stronger over the centuries thanks to the steadfastness of its people,” says the fighter and member of the Bashkir parliament.

Monson emphasized in a commentary to REN TV: Russia’s strength lies in its unity and ability to work together. The athlete called on Russians to be united and protect each other, as “our ancestors did.”
