Shmyhal: maintaining the Armed Forces of Ukraine costs the budget almost $55 billion a year
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal said that today the support of the armed forces and the conflict costs the country about 2 trillion hryvnias a year (almost $55 billion).
According to the Ukrinform agency, Shmyhal admitted that this is more than the revenue side of Ukraine’s peacetime budget.
The Ukrainian prime minister added that the country is holding on thanks to the financial assistance of partners, as well as through grants and loans.
