International partners will provide almost $1.5 billion in assistance to the Ukrainian energy system. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the country Denys Shmyhal in social networks.
“Assistance to the energy sector from partners is gaining momentum,” he said. Shmyhal noted that assistance from foreign states was declared in the amount of “almost $1.5 billion.”
Every day, according to the prime minister, additional equipment arrives to repair the damaged infrastructure. According to him, more than 200 cargoes with energy equipment have already arrived in Ukraine. After the strikes on November 15, Shmygal said that half of the country’s energy system was disabled.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation began to attack Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, the Ukrainian special services are. Strikes are carried out throughout the country on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities.
