Missile ships and boats of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Federation went to sea for exercises, the press service of the Western Military District reported.
“Small missile ships “Odintsovo”, “Zeleniy Dol”, “Sovetsk”, missile boat “Dimitrovgrad” take part in the maneuvers.
It is indicated that the ships will carry out the tasks of anti-ship defense and air defense, play a mock battle with a mock enemy and make electronic launches of missile weapons. It is also reported that the crews of the ships “will carry out a complex of artillery firing at sea and air targets” and will work out the tasks of joint maneuvering.
RIA Novosti notes that these ships of projects 22800 Karakurt and 21631 Buyan-M are equipped with Caliber cruise missiles.
