Ship modeling competitions were held in Murmansk

Regional competitions in ship modeling took place in the capital of the Kola Arctic. They were dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day, the regional Ministry of Sports said.
The competition took place at the Ocean Children’s Marine Center. 28 athletes aged from seven to 17 years from different municipalities of the Murmansk region took part in the starts on February 17.
The guys competed in the classes of models EN-600/civilian ships, EK-600/warships, EL-600/submarines and the class of bench models C-6, C-7. Competitions are held with the aim of developing ship modeling sport. Other tasks include supporting and developing technical creativity, as well as identifying talented guys.
The day before, an interesting sporting event took place in the Kola region. “MK in Murmansk” wrotethat the northerners recreated the images of USSR skiers.
