Sheremetyevo Airport has installed the ENOT-SD radar-optical complex for detection, verification and subsequent suppression of UAVs, reports TASS with reference to airport materials on ensuring comprehensive security.

According to the agency, ENOTH-SD will work using Kaspersky Lab software with artificial intelligence. The system will be able to distinguish UAVs from other objects in the sky, so the impact of suppression agents on aircraft is excluded, the airport notes. It is alleged that ENOT-SD is capable of detecting drones, including those flying in radio silence mode. There will be no impact on the functioning of ground-based radio technical support for flights and aviation telecommunications at the airport, Sheremetyevo assured.

From the beginning of May 2023, drones began to attack Moscow and the Moscow region. During attacks, capital airports are closed – one or several at once. Last time en masse detained flights at Moscow airports on the morning of October 14. The Ministry of Defense did not report any UAV attacks on Moscow and the Moscow region that day.
