Shares of RSC Energia fell by more than 20% after the collapse of the lunar station

Low-liquid shares of Energia Rocket and Space Corporation (RKK) fell by more than 20% during trading on the Moscow Exchange. Exchange in this regard held discrete auction for RKK shares. After the resumption of trading by 11:10 am, the company’s shares continued to decline – by 20.4%, to 31,720 rubles.
In less than a month, the company’s shares grew by 156.9% against the background of the upcoming launch of the Luna-25 station. On August 7, the shares traded at the level of 18,910 rubles. per paper, on August 18, their value at the peak reached 48,590 rubles. The volume of trading in RSC shares is 88.593 million rubles.
“Luna-25” started from the Vostochny cosmodrome on August 11. This is the first launch of a Russian lunar station for the first time in almost 50 years. The station was supposed to land in the south polar region of the Moon on August 21. But yesterday, August 20, Roscosmos informedthat communication with the Luna-25 station was lost. According to preliminary data, the station moved into an off-design orbit, collided with the surface of the moon and “ceased to exist.”
