Shadayev: the share of domestic manufacturers in the IT market exceeded 50%

The share of domestic manufacturers in the Russian IT market has doubled, exceeding 50%. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“Our market has not collapsed, and at the same time the share of Russian manufacturers has doubled and exceeded 50%, even displacing the Chinese in certain niches,” he noted (quote according to RIA Novosti).

Shadayev added that the production of computer games in Russia has good potential. He admitted that Russian developers could enter the Chinese market.

In September, Vedomosti, citing a study by Strategy Partners analysts, wrote that the volume of the Russian IT market (including software, development and technical support services, as well as equipment) will grow from 3 trillion rubles. in 2023 up to 7 trillion rubles. by 2030.
