Six private clinics in Moscow face shortages of single-component measles vaccine, report RBC representatives of medical networks. The absence of the drug was announced at MEDSI, the ABC-medicine clinic, Euromedclinic, Uniklinik, Medline Service and Centraviamed.
According to the Deputy Medical Director of MEDSI Ksenia Shekhovtsova, the vaccine is delivered as a priority to state clinics. Medscan and Invitro have the vaccine available. According to Invitro, in the first quarter of 2022, 77 people were vaccinated against measles, and in the first quarter of this year, 381 people were vaccinated in Moscow alone. The cost of vaccination in private clinics in the capital ranges from 1.2 thousand to 3 thousand rubles.
In April, students of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas sent away for 21 days due to a case of measles. As of April 20, infected people were detected in 44 regions, spoke Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova. She claims that local foci of the disease can be “removed very quickly”, and so far there is no need for systemic restrictions.
