Razvozhaev: residents of Sevastopol receive false reports of water contamination with radiation
The governor of the city of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said on his Telegram channel on Tuesday that representatives of the Ukrainian Center for Information and Psychological Special Operations (TsIPSO) are calling city residents and spreading false information about water contamination with radiation.
They introduce themselves as employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and ask people to prepare for evacuation within 72 hours if the norm of radiation in the water overcomes the excess by 3 times.
People are also encouraged to stock up on iodine tablets and bottled drinking water.
The governor assured that in the event of a real danger, messages would go through all channels simultaneously, and now everything is calm in Sevastopol.
According to Razvozhaev, it is Kyiv that is beginning to “squeeze everything out of the situation with the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station” that it can.
On the morning of June 6, a dam collapsed at a hydroelectric power station located near Novaya Kakhovka, Kherson region. Local authorities announced the evacuation of residents of the right bank of Kherson, which is under the control of Kyiv, due to shelling, which led to the destruction of valves and uncontrolled discharge of water.
