On September 16, an eco-marathon “Rivers of Russia #riversrunning” was held in Moscow, organized with the aim of attracting public attention to the environmental problems of Russian water bodies.
The marathon participants ran the distance along the Grebnoy Canal embankment. The race was also attended by Serpukhovites – physical education instructors from the Intersettlement Center for Physical Education, Health and Sports Work “Nadezhda”, as well as residents of the villages of Obolensk, Raisemenovskoye, Lukyanovo and Proletarsky.
The eco-marathon “Rivers of Russia #riversrun” has become not only a sporting event, but also a means of drawing attention to pressing environmental problems. The marathon participants demonstrated their willingness to fight for the cleanliness of rivers and lakes, and also showed that only by uniting can real changes in the environmental situation be achieved.
