Serpukhov karatekas won two bronze medals at the international tournament

International karate competitions “Belarus open” took place on October 14-15. Pupils of the Serpukhov sports school “Zubrenok” took part in it.
The Belarus open tournament brought together more than 800 participants from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. For two days, persistent and spectacular fights took place on the tatami of the Chizhovka Arena, and the colorful opening ceremony gave the participants and guests of the competition a lot of impressions.
Maria Trofimenko’s students, Ivan Starostin and Artem Marakulin, performed very well in hospitable Minsk. They showed excellent technique and a high level of preparation, which allowed them to win medals at this prestigious tournament.
Artyom Marakulin competed in the 14-15 year old kumite category and the 57 kg weight category. His precise strikes and quick movements amazed not only his opponents, but also the spectators. He defeated several strong opponents and earned a bronze medal.
Ivan Starostin, who participated in the 18-20 year old kumite category and the 60 kg weight category, also showed excellent results. His strong punches and tactical awareness helped him win several victorious fights and become the owner of a bronze medal.
As part of the Russian delegation at international competitions, athletes from the Moscow region showed fantastic results. They have 4 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals. Their performance was so worthy that they earned admiration and respect from both coaches and spectators.
