Serpukhov hosted an open tennis tournament

The Nadezhda Sports Palace hosted the Serpukhov City District Open Tennis Championship, which was organized in honor of the Day of the Athlete.

The main goals of the tournament were to popularize this sport, to attract children and adults to a healthy lifestyle, as well as to improve the skills of the participants.

At the competitions, winners and prize-winners in all age categories were awarded with medals and certificates. In the age subgroup up to 8 years, Emilia Khalanskaya took the first place, Mira Kuznetsova took the second place, and Varvara Artemyeva took the third place. These young sportswomen demonstrated a high level of skill and an excellent game on the court.

The age subgroup under 10 is presented as follows: Sofia Medkova took first place, followed by Artemy Kudryavtsev in second place, and Daniil Likhachev took third place.

Two age subgroups under 14 and under 16 were also represented at the competition. In the first subgroup, Matvey Pashkov won the gold medal, Anastasia Shmakova came second, and Maxim Puntu took third place. In the second subgroup, Kira Zhitkova won, Anna Kochergina came second, and Mikhail Deryugin took third place.

In the age subgroup of adults (women), Kira Zhitkova again won, Marina Ivannikova took the second place, and Natalya Kudryavtseva took the third place.

Adult men’s subgroup: Nikolai Titov took first place, Roman Shcherbinin took a well-deserved second place, showing a high level of training and professionalism, Andrey Vanichkin, who showed talent and perseverance, took third place.

Each athlete in the tournament demonstrate their unique skills and achieve well-deserved recognition. Their successes are not only individual, but also testify to the strength and development of the sports community as a whole.
