Serpukhov basketball players reached the final of the All-Russian Championship

Many people dream of touching professional sports since their school days. And now the basketball players of school No. 18, having stubbornly snatched victory from their rivals, went to the final of the All-Russian Basketball League Championship “IES-BASKET”.
Sofia Altukhova, Anastasia Kukushkina, Sofia Savina, Adelina Khamraeva, Valeria Budnik, Valeria Surkova, Veronika Kim, Margarita Blokhina, Alina Belousova, Victoria Gaidukova, Anastasia Baranova – young athletes of Serpukhov, who defeated their opponents by a wide margin.
Matches were held on January 25 in the city of Fryazino. Basketball players from Balashikha and Korolev took to the floor against the team of our municipality. Following the results of the games with a score of 46-17 and 35-8, school No. 18 of Serpukhov reached the final, which will be held on February 4.
The team has great enthusiasm and potential. And also supported by parents, relatives, beloved teachers, and, of course, the coach Viktor Safonov.
For the first time, the Moscow region takes part in such a large-scale event. The sports organization IES-Basket holds basketball championships in 70 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as in Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan among school students who are not professional athletes, which gives both boys and girls a great chance to declare themselves as a stubborn real basketball player.
