At the beginning of this year, Nikolai Drozdov scared the fans in earnest. The TV presenter ended up in the hospital with fractures of seven chest ribs. Nikolai Nikolaevich will never recover from his injury. In an interview with MK, Drozdov admitted that due to inflammation in his left lung, he still cannot breathe and speak normally.

“I am recovering, of course, but the recovery is slow,” complains Nikolai Nikolayevich. I broke seven ribs at once. One rib pierced my left lung, because of this, air and water appeared there. I still walk with a catheter. It turned out such an extensive inflammation of the left lung, which has not gone away so far. I am under the supervision of doctors: they come to my house.

Due to problems with the lung, Nikolai Nikolayevich cannot fully speak: her voice is quiet, sometimes you can’t distinguish words.

“I can’t even fully breathe,” the TV presenter sighs. – As they say, I can’t breathe deeply. I can’t take a deep breath! And I love to sing, but so far I can only dream about it.

Doctors do not give Drozdov any predictions. Due to age (at the end of June, the TV presenter turned 86 years old – ed.), Recovery may take a long period.

“My pain is gone, there is no temperature,” Nikolai Nikolaevich explains. – I sleep well too – I’m already used to the catheter. Only breathing problems and stoop remained. I can’t straighten up. Doctors say: the fracture is complex, it takes time. Doctors offered me a special set of exercises in order to get rid of stoop and normalize breathing. I’m starting to learn them little by little. But this is only the beginning of the work. I take care of them as much as possible.
