Sergei Sobyanin: ambulance work is being modernized in Moscow

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin presented a new standard for emergency medical care at a meeting with chief physicians of the largest city clinics on Tuesday. Patient flows will be divided into three categories: red (patients requiring resuscitation or surgery), yellow (patients requiring direct observation) and green (relatively stable patients).
How writes On Wednesday Kommersant, new employees will appear in ambulance complexes – coordinators who, in case of emergency hospitalization, will help citizens with documents, pick up their children from school, contact relatives and even place pets in a shelter.
In the All-Russian Union of Patients, where the publication turned for comment, they highly appreciated the novelty of the approach, but noted that the quality of medical care in different regions of the country currently varies significantly, and this has an “element of inequality for patients”.
