On September 3, Yoshkar-Ola will host the final stage of the Russian Triathlon Cup in the triathlon-sprint discipline.
Competitions will be held on the embankment and in the waters of Malaya Kokshaga, as well as in the river part of Yoshkar-Ola. Participants will have to swim 750 meters, ride bicycles 20 kilometers along the streets and run two laps with a total length of 5 kilometers along the city embankment.
About 20 elite athletes will take part in the cup final, including Denis Kolobrodov, silver medalist of the 2023 national championship, from Volgograd.
The republican competitions preceding the start will also be held, reports IA MediaStream with reference to the city administration.
Competition program:
- Women and men will start with a 0.75 km swim, then cycle for 20 km and finish with a 5 km run. Women will start at 11:00, men – at 12:20.
- Triathlon. Championship of Mari El, republican competition “Red City”
- Women and men will start with a 0.75 km swim, then cycle for 20 km and finish with a 5 km run. Amateurs start at 8:00, professional athletes at 11:00.
- Relay (1+1+1). Start at 8:10.
