Senator Gibatdinov: a law may be adopted in Russia limiting the number of children under guardianship

A law may be adopted in Russia limiting the number of children under guardianship. The document is currently being developed. Senator from the Ulyanovsk region Airat Gibatdinov told RIA Novosti about this.

According to the senator, the need for restrictions is caused by the emergence of so-called “children’s dachas,” when guardians recruit many children, thereby earning money from benefits and other preferences.

Previously, if the bill is adopted, no more than three children can be taken into custody.

A similar proposal was made in 2018 by the Russian Ministry of Education, according to which the number of children in foster care often exceeds eight people.
