Senator from the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, 48-year-old Eduard Isakov (United Russia), called the eldest daughter from his first marriage, Diana, a traitor because of her position on a special operation in Ukraine. The senator’s comment followed an interview with Diana, which was published by media outlets recognized as foreign agents, in particular Meduza.
In an interview, the politician’s daughter spoke out against the conduct of a special military operation, the country’s policy, Mr. Isakov noted. “Apparently, she received money from these media, in other words, she sold her father, family, Motherland and left Russia. It’s hard to find words when your daughter turns out to be a traitor.” declared Edward Isakov.
He was outraged that when talking to the media, Diana “did not forget to mention” that she was the daughter of a senator. According to Mr. Isakov, now Diana is 25 years old, he has not raised his daughter since the age of three. From the moment the senator learned about the “anti-Russian position” of his daughter, they do not communicate, he does not provide for her and does not provide housing.
In his youth, Eduard Isakov participated in powerlifting competitions (power triathlon), including at the international level, since March of this year located under EU sanctions.
