Comedian, screenwriter, author and performer Semyon Slepakov, who left Russia for Israel in the spring, was on the “black list” of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation due to debts of 18.9 million rubles, reports website KP.RU.
Lawyer Timur Matveev explained in an interview with the publication that of this amount, 15.4 million rubles is personal income tax, and 3.6 million rubles are late payment penalties.
According to him, most likely the debt was formed from the sale of expensive property. The amount of tax indicates that it was collected from the total income of about 118 million rubles.
Matveev noted that Slepakov would still have to pay off his debts to the Russian budget, despite his departure to Israel. Otherwise, property in Russia that belongs to the artist may be arrested.
