Representatives of the Vologda region showed good results in speed skating competitions, which were attended by more than 300 participants from 22 regions. The tournament for the prizes of Valery Muratov – Honored Master of Sports – was held for the 47th time. This season it was organized in Kolomna.
Thus, Semyon Averin from Vologda became the winner among juniors aged 18-19. The athlete twice overcame the fastest distance of 500 meters and won two silver medals at a distance of 1000 meters (in two competition days). He also became the best in the all-around, finishing with a time of 147.855.
Let’s add that another native of the Vologda region, Artem Ezichev, who currently plays for St. Petersburg, did not have enough time to win the award. He took fourth place.
