Self-employed have the opportunity to exhibit their products on Yandex Market

The Yandex marketplace provided an opportunity for the self-employed to sell and promote their products using all the features of the marketplace.

You can put up for sale even one product, it is noted in information marketplace. However, it is allowed to sell only goods of own production, which, moreover, do not require labeling, licenses and excise taxes. That is, for example, food, medicines, perfumes or jewelry cannot be traded. But hand-made toys, souvenirs, jewelry, children’s toys or author’s flower arrangements – please.

As a bonus, the marketplace has exempted the self-employed from paying commission, which is usually taken when selling a product, until the end of 2022.

To become a Yandex Market partner, you need to register as a self-employed person with the Federal Tax Service, create a seller’s personal account on the marketplace, choose a partnership model (this applies to methods of storing and delivering goods) and upload cards of your products to the market.

By the way, Yandex Market is not the first domestic marketplace that provides its platform to the self-employed. Previously, this option was opened by Wildberries and Ozon. By data service Workspace, by the end of 2021, 80 thousand self-employed sold their products on Wildberries, and 3.3 thousand self-employed used Ozon services to sell goods. Now, handmade manufacturers have another marketplace.
