Security forces of Abkhazia began exercises in the region bordering with Georgia

Three law enforcement agencies of Abkhazia are simultaneously conducting exercises in the region bordering Georgia. Representatives of the State Security Service, the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are participating in the maneuvers. In addition, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Aslan Bzhaniya, the personnel of all law enforcement agencies have been transferred to an enhanced mode of service.
The exercises in the Gali district will continue until March 14 inclusive. The population is asked not to panic and not to believe false rumors.
Recall that since March 7, thousands of protests have been held in Tbilisi. At first, people protested against the law on foreign agents, which the country’s parliament adopted in the first reading. The ruling party decided to withdraw the bill. Then protests began against compulsory conscription into the army.
Abkhazia fears destabilization in the neighboring country. They remind that the peace agreement between Tbilisi and Sukhum was never signed.
