Security forces in 11 countries uncovered the LockBit hacker group

Intelligence agencies from the UK, USA and other countries joined forces in an operation to uncover and block the LockBit criminal group, which was involved in cyber attacks and extortion. The official website of the group is now under the control of law enforcement agencies, according to the agency Bloomberg.
According to the FBI, as part of the operation, 11 thousand domain names used to distribute malware were blocked.
According to the US Department of Justice, LockBit was involved in more than 1,400 cyberattacks in the US and other countries, causing more than $100 million in damages. Part of this amount was successfully obtained through the use of bitcoins.
