The team from the Primakov Gymnasium near Moscow took second place in the Russian Chess Championship. This was reported by the Ministry of Education of the Moscow Region. The guys competed with 33 teams from 15 regions of the Russian Federation.
Officials congratulated the Moscow Region chess players and their coach Igor Yagupov on their well-deserved second place. They noted that they adequately outperformed the strongest teams in the country. But pupils of specialized schools of the Olympic reserve also participated in the competition.
Pupils of 7-9 classes took part in the competition. In total, five people competed for medals. Of these, 4 boys and one girl.
