Handball players “Kuban” for the third time in the season met with “Astrakhanochka”. Home game is over defeat with a score of 22:29. After the match, the team coaches summed up the results of the meeting. Both focused on Astrakhanochka’s breakthrough immediately after the 8-0 break and the red card at the end of the first half of Kuban’s main defender Victoria Zhilinskaite.

– Why such different halves? This is a game, – said the head coach of “Astrakhanochka” Alexey Alekseev. – And in the first half we played well, but didn’t score much. Kuban goalkeeper Elena Nikolaeva had a high percentage of reflected shots. During the break, we talked with the team: 2 goals difference in handball is not a sentence. I am glad that the girls went into the second half with the maximum attitude and never conceded a goal in 13 minutes. Selflessness was added to active protection. Today, the team can only be proud of. A red card from Žilinskaite, of course, was a plus for us.

– Two completely different halves. In the first, we fought, and in the second, in the first 15 minutes, we scored only 1 goal, and conceded about ten. – complained coach “Kuban” Denis Saifulin. – This is unacceptable, this is not the way to play. Affected by the absence of a central defender – remote Victoria Zhilinskaite. But the second half as a whole is some kind of horror, no one played in defense. In the first half, Elena Nikolaeva had a percentage of reflected shots of about 40 percent, in the second half – silence … Before the break, they made only 2 losses, after the resumption of the game, they lost the ball three times in just 2 minutes. It’s a shame we lost, the audience was so rooting for us. We will conduct a “debriefing” and prepare for the next game.
