Swimming lessons for second grade students will continue in the new academic year. This was announced by the mayor of Vologda Sergey Voropanov during his live broadcast. 5388 people will be able to use the service. Pupils go to such lessons only with the consent of their parents. The course of study is not mandatory. Last academic year, only 55% of second-graders attended swimming.
The training course consists of 15 lessons. Classes are held free of charge in municipal and private pools of the city. Each of them is assigned to certain schools. At present, contracts are being concluded for conducting classes. Each educational institution determines the schedules and the start date of training independently. The funds necessary for this in the city budget are provided for 2023 and will be allocated for 2024.
