“Seagull” defeated “Irbis” in a second friendly match

Hockey players of the Nizhny Novgorod “Seagull” on August 16 held a repeated friendly match against the Kazan “Irbis”. The current owners of the Kharlamov Cup have been actively preparing for the start of the new MHL season since the first days of July. Chaika played its first friendly matches on July 19 and 22, exchanging victories with the debutant of the VHL – HC Norilsk. The first serious test for “The Seagull” took place from July 31 to August 4, hockey players from Nizhny Novgorod played at the pre-season tournament in Kazan and took 2nd place, losing only to Yaroslavl “Loko”.
On August 15 and 16, Chaika hockey players appeared before their fans for the first time since April and the final series of the playoffs of the Kharlamov Cup. The best youth team of Russia played two friendly matches against Kazan “Irbis” – a representative of the “Golden” division. Both matches ended in victory for the Chaika players. On the first day of the match ended with a score of 5:2, and less than a day later, “The Seagull” won with a score of 3:2.
Chaika will play the next friendly matches as part of the Cup of the Governor of the Tula Region, it will start on August 21.
