Scottish mountain bike champion dies two days after victory

Rab Wardell, 37, who won the Scottish Mountain Bike Championship on Sunday, died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday.
It is reported by The Guardian.
Wardell’s girlfriend, race cyclist Cathy Archibald, said her friend felt ill this morning. The doctors were on site within a few minutes, but they could not help the athlete.
According to Eurosport, Rab Wardell has been cycling since he was a teenager.
In 2006, he took part in the Commonwealth Games, which were held in Melbourne.
In 2020, a Scottish cyclist set a record for the fastest time on the West Highland route (Scotland).
