One of the two thieves of Banksy’s new mural has been detained in London.

It took Scotland Yard less than 24 hours to find and detain one of the thieves of the STOP road sign with new graffiti by artist Banksy. This was reported by the press service of the London Police Department.

Earlier, footage of the abduction began to circulate widely on social networks. The man, in front of numerous onlookers, unscrewed the sign from the pole and then ran away. According to witnesses to the incident, the criminal had an accomplice. He held the bicycle the man had climbed onto and also helped him hold the tools.

The road sign was stolen just half an hour after Banksy confirmed that he was the author of the graffiti on the red octagon. The legendary street artist “added” the STOP sign with an image of three flying combat drones.

Banks did not explain the nature of his work. At the same time, British media experts present it as a call to stop bombing and missile attacks on the Gaza Strip.
