Scientists have told how to eat to stay alert

In addition to getting enough sleep, the way you eat will also affect your energy level during the day. This conclusion was made by biologists from the University of California at Berkeley and King’s College London.
In a study of 833 volunteers, the researchers found that a high-carb, moderate-protein breakfast made it easier to stay focused throughout the day. At the same time, during further meals, on the contrary, a low amount of carbohydrates helped to stay alert. The optimal number of meals was 3-4 times a day.
Also, the study participants were energized by physical activity during the day, but not at night.
The scientific work was published in the journal Nature Communications.
