Just 5 minutes of vigorous intermittent physical activity a day can reduce the risk of some types of cancer by 32%, University of Sydney scientists say. Such activity is equivalent to the usual household chores: cooking, washing dishes and cleaning the apartment.

The study of scientists, which lasted 7 years, involved 22,000 people. They wore special trackers to track their daily physical activity. During this time, experts have collected data on the health status of patients. More than 2,000 people have been diagnosed with cancer.
And it turned out that intermittent physical activity has shown the ability to reduce the risk of developing any type of cancer by 18%, and in the case of types of neoplasms directly related to lack of activity, even by 32%.
Earlier, Professor and Chair of Global Public Health at the University of Edinburgh, Devi Sridhar, called processed foods the main cause of cancer in young people. Also, according to her, the development of oncology is affected by smoking, drinking alcohol, unhealthy diet, obesity and lack of physical activity.
