Researchers at Southwestern Jiaotong University have found that less organized people stay up late and tend to procrastinate before bed. The study was published in The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
It is noted that such people often give up their goals when faced with difficulties. The study involved 3687 people aged 11-23 years. They underwent psychological testing, filled out a questionnaire about their habits, where, in particular, there was an item about using a smartphone before bed.
Participants who were more forward-thinking tended to show higher levels of self-control and lower levels of impulsivity. They often do not postpone bedtime and do not “stick” on the phone before falling asleep.
Organized people are well aware of the health benefits of regular sleep, the article notes.
