There is no magnetic storm observed on Earth, the geomagnetic field is calm, the Heliogeophysical Service of the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FSBI IPG) reported and confirmed with current space weather monitoring data. Earlier, weather forecasters reported that there was a magnetic storm on Earth.
“The geomagnetic field, according to data from mid-latitude stations, is calm with occasional periods of instability. According to data from high-latitude stations, from very calm to calm with isolated periods of instability,” the message states.
At 19:00 Moscow time data space weather shows complete calm in three main indicators: the degree of disturbance in the Earth’s magnetic field, the level of danger from the flow of energetic protons from solar flares, and the influence of solar X-ray bursts on the Earth’s ionosphere.
Earlier, leading Phobos specialist Mikhail Leus reported that a weak G1 class magnetic storm had begun on Earth. According to him, the cause of the magnetic storm was three solar flares.
