Schools in several Belgorod municipalities will be switched to distance learning due to shelling

Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov reportedthat due to the operational situation, students at schools located 20 km from the Ukrainian border will continue the third quarter in a remote format. In several municipalities in the region, the holidays have been extended, the issue of introducing distance learning until February 16 is being decided, Mr. Gladkov clarifies.

Now the holidays have been extended in Belgorod, Belgorodsky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Borisovsky and Volokonovsky districts, Grayvoronsky, Shchebekinsky and Valuysky urban districts, as well as in two settlements of the Korochansky district – Melikhovo and Dalnyaya Igumenka. According to the governor, distance learning will be introduced in these municipalities within a month until February 16. Written permission from the parents of all students is required for an official decision.

“Let me clarify that classes within the framework of additional education in these same municipalities will be organized in a distance format. SVE students are also distance learning,” wrote Vyacheslav Gladkov.

He also noted that more than 70% of parents in the Yakovlevsky urban district voted for in-person learning. In the near future, the head of the district, Oleg Medvedev, and the district administration will publish a list of educational institutions in which full-time education will be resumed or distance learning will be introduced. January 4 Oleg Medvedev reportedthat holidays in educational institutions of the district have been extended until January 19.
