Epidemiologists argue that the current “exceeding the epidemic threshold of seasonal diseases”, influenza and acute respiratory infections is caused by “immune debt” after covid. Although the strain is highly contagious and has a short incubation period, sometimes up to several hours in total, otherwise it is the most common flu. Which passes without consequences against the background of timely isolation and treatment. The only thing I want to note is that the virus is very changeable. Resistance even in those who have been ill is not guaranteed, the vaccination may be ineffective too.
– Influenza is easy to distinguish from other respiratory diseases, – says pediatrician Yuri Serdobinsky. – Flu does not happen without temperature and the symptoms attached to it: a feeling of “twisting” the muscles, headache and eye pain … The treatment is absolutely the same as always, it is important not to forget about the drinking regimen. Since immunity is now weakened in most of the population, complications are very possible. Nasopharygitis, sinusitis, otitis, tracheitis, acute cough.
