Schools in Yakutia have officially banned celebrating Halloween. The order was given by the local Ministry of Education and Science, writes the telegram channel “Climb”.
The document was signed by First Deputy Minister Alevtina Argunova.
“Schools should conduct educational activities and activities aimed at preserving and strengthening spiritual and moral values,” the text of the document says. It also states that events should be aimed at “developing the ideas of patriotism and preserving the historical heritage of peoples.”
Previously, such bans had not been officially introduced in the region.
