Schoolchildren from the capital became winners of the Olympiad

Luka Avtodin, Sofya Bas, Sofya Grekhova, Olga Zubkova, Uliana Konovalova, Ivan Nikiforov and Alexandra Yakovleva, students of the Moscow Palace of Creativity for Children and Youth named after A.P. Gaidar, became winners of the first All-Russian Olympiad in natural science literacy for students mastering additional general education programs natural science orientation.
The competition was held in two stages – regional and federal. In 65 regions of Russia, regional stages were held, 16,305 schoolchildren aged 14 to 18 took part in them. 1,175 winners of the regional stage passed to the federal stage. Tasks in the final stage of the Olympiad were divided into several areas: forestry, agricultural biotechnology, genetics and genetic technologies, environmental monitoring and biodiversity conservation.
Almost 1,000 schoolchildren became winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad. All of them will receive diplomas and certificates of participants. It is assumed that next year children aged 7 to 18 will be able to take part in the Olympiad in natural science literacy.
