The super final of the all-Russian competition for young football players “Leather Ball” took place in Volgograd. The team from Sochi won the competition.
The tournament was held among boys born in 2012-2013. A total of 4 teams participated, which had previously won the preliminary stages.
According to the head of the Department of Education and Science of the Sochi Administration, Olga Medvedeva, it became known that the team of students from the local sports school No. 7 did not miss a single goal during the tournament. Coach Dmitry Vasiliev prepared them for the competition.
“On the instructions of the head of the city, Alexei Kopaygorodsky, all conditions for playing football are being created at the resort,” the politician noted. This sport is extremely popular in the city. About 20 thousand people are engaged in it, 6 thousand of whom are children. At the initiative of the mayor, 17 football fields were built in Sochi.
