Schoolchildren began to cheat using new technologies

Before the start of the season of annual and final work, sociologists decided to find out how modern schoolchildren cheat. The survey was conducted among students in grades 5-11 and their parents. It turned out that the good old spurs still exist, but life does not stand still. Freeloaders prefer to “roll” with the help of new technologies.
According to the survey, artificial intelligence is increasingly involved in cheating. In a well-known chat, a keyword search is set, and the network brings an authoritative compilation from trusted sites. All that remains is to quickly memorize the text before answering. And the most important thing is to bring your phone to the exam. The survey showed that 9 percent of respondents make spurs in the neural network.
Twenty-two percent of schoolchildren copy answers from ready-made homework sites. The technology is not new, but it is simple and reliable. But again, you can’t do without a phone.
Researchers have found that more than half of schoolchildren (51%) prefer to cheat. They explain their choice by the fact that they do not want to overload the brain with memorizing meaningless information that can always be found on the Internet. The second argument: some subjects just need to be handed in and forgotten, like a bad dream. Cheating is perfect for this.
Also, 27 percent of students admitted that without cheating they would not have been able to complete the modern school curriculum. Sad, but honest.
And only 6 percent of schoolchildren do not do spurs on principle: they simply do not see the point in it. “After all, studying is so interesting,” say respondents who find themselves in the minority.
The study showed that geometry, algebra and physics are the most commonly cheated on subjects. But computer science, social studies and literature are at the very end of the list. These subject teachers can relax during exams.
The survey was conducted in all Russian regions. 1304 people took part in the event. An e-mail survey was used as the main research method.
