Schoolchildren at “Conversations about Important Things” will be shown Putin’s address after the terrorist attack

During the “Talking about Important Things” lesson, schoolchildren will be shown a fragment of President Vladimir Putin’s address to Russians after the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall. This follows from the lesson script on website “Talking about important things.” The topic of the lesson is designated as “Unity of the Peoples of Russia.”

“The leading task of the main part is the idea that Russia is a large and multinational country, whose people always respond with peace, unity and cohesion to the threat to the security of their native Fatherland. Russians resolutely oppose any attempts to disrupt social harmony and peace,” says the description of the main goal of the lesson for grades 5–11.

When talking with primary schoolchildren, teachers are advised to avoid details and not show footage of terrorist attacks on people in Crocus City Hall. The recommendations advise explaining to schoolchildren that “terrorism has no nationality.” At the end of the lesson, students will have to cut out white crocuses from paper.

According to the latest data, the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall killed 137 people and injured 182 people. There are children among the dead. Debris clearance continues. The number of missing people is still unknown.
