School No. 4 in Maloyaroslavets has become a place for students’ fantasies to come true

In the Kaluga region, at least 50 schools will be repaired by 2026. At the end of the 2021/22 school year, repair work began in 13 schools: Lyudinovskaya and Ozerskaya boarding schools, the 2nd school in Babynino, the 3rd school in Kondrovo, the 4th school of Maloyaroslavets, the Polotnyano-Zavodskaya school No. 2, the Khvastovichi school , 4th school of Kozelsk, 2nd school of Zhizdra, Strelna school of the Sukhinichsky district. Also involved in the repair are schools where a two-year cycle of work is planned: the Spas-Zagorsk School of the Maloyaroslavetsky District, the Secondary School No. 2 named after the scientist V.Z. Vlasov “of the city of Tarusa,” Myatlevskaya secondary school named after A.F. Ivanova” Iznoskovsky district.

According to the governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha, all competitive procedures were carried out on time, contracts for the performance of work were concluded in all schools. The selection of schools for 2022 and the next 2023 has already been completed.

“What is important, the implementation of the program takes place with the direct participation of schoolchildren, parents and teachers within the framework of the “Classroom Space” competition. Design projects developed by children in collaboration with parents and teachers became the basis for decorating classrooms, canteens, and recreations. The most interesting projects are being implemented by schools when creating centers for children’s initiatives. It turned out to be a real people’s project,” says Shapsha.

The list of repair work itself includes 14 types of building repair work, namely: repair of ventilation, foundation, roof, ceilings, windows, stairs, as well as plastering work, repair of heating, facade, water supply, sewerage, electrical work, repair of fire extinguishing system and low current networks.

Overhaul for all schools is a long-awaited event. This was eagerly awaited by both the teachers themselves and the children. So, the program included school number 4 of the city of military glory Maloyaroslavets. In the entire history of the school, the three-story building has never been overhauled. The institution was reorganized in 1951 from the seven-year railway school No. 2. 903 schoolchildren study here. The teaching staff includes 54 people.

In addition to large-scale internal work, the facade of the building has also been renovated. The school itself decided to leave it in its original form, without making any changes. This will preserve the history of the institution.

According to the director of the school, Ekaterina Gribkova, the overhaul of the school will create a new educational environment. And again, they worked on the project not without the participation of the main characters – the children themselves.

“A headquarters was created at the school from representatives of the public, parents and, of course, high school students. The school environment was monitored. What do we want to change? In which classrooms do we want to study? Gribkova said.
