Scholz said that the EU will tighten sanctions against the Russian Federation by the anniversary of the start of the NWO

The European Union will tighten sanctions against Russia on the anniversary of the start of a special military operation in Ukraine – February 24, said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, transmits German newspaper Handelsblatt.

“We, the European Union, will once again tighten sanctions against Russia,” Scholz said.

A similar statement was made earlier by the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen. She statedthat the EU plans to adopt the tenth package of sanctions against Russia on the anniversary of the start of the special operation.

2 February European Parliament accepted a resolution calling on the EU countries to adopt the tenth package of sanctions against Russia “as soon as possible”. In addition, the European Parliament proposed imposing sanctions against Lukoil and Rosatom, as well as abandoning not only Russian oil and gas, but also uranium.

Head of the EC announced the tenth package of sanctions against Russia on 17 January. Then she noted that the restrictions will be aimed at correcting the shortcomings made in the development of previous packages. On the same day, speaking at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, head of the EC statedthat the purpose of the EU sanctions is to “plunge the Russian economy into recession for decades.” She also recalled that due to the restrictions of the Russian Federation, it was cut off from modern and critical technologies.

Against the backdrop of the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, the EU has already adopted nine packages of sanctions against the Russian Federation. Restrictions have affected many sectors of the economy, including energy, high-tech sector, aviation, banking and mining, automotive, etc.

December 16, 2022 EU accepted the ninth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation. The restrictions affected Russian banks, the export of dual-use goods and technologies, and a ban was introduced on investments in the energy and mining sectors of Russia.
