The Moscow-based technology company has created a line of Russian scanners that can digitize technical documentation, drawings, archival files and even large-format cultural treasures and historical rarities.
“Scanners developed by the capital’s ELAR corporation are used for contactless digitization of archival files, books, drawings, maps, paintings, newspapers and various wide-format documents. The main customers of such equipment are museums, foundations, archives, libraries, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, and design bureaus,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. He added that by the end of the year there are plans to include the product in the unified register of radio-electronic products of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The A1/A0 format planetary scanner has the maximum level of process automation. The development is designed on the basis of quick-detachable integrated units, it is equipped with powerful Russian industrial cameras. The most advanced version of the products provides a resolution of more than 3.5 thousand dots per inch.
According to the head of the enterprise’s marketing department, Artem Vartanyan, it comes with pre-installed software of its own design, it is included in the register of domestic software. This ensures compliance with industry state standards for processing archival documents.
