Scandalous circumstances of the lack of fortifications at the front have been revealed in Ukraine

A Ukrainian military engineer with the call sign Korsar explained on social networks why defensive lines were not built in the east. Previously, Ukrainian military experts noted that after Avdiivka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have practically no fortifications, and now the Ukrainian military is hastily trying to equip them to the west of this settlement in an attempt to hold back the advance of the Russian Armed Forces.

Korsar noted that the leadership of the engineering services of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “does not know how to plan ahead and submits requests at the wrong time.” The Ukrainian publication Strana drew attention to his message.

“When I arrive on site, I have neither a map nor a proper justification,” the engineer wrote, adding that he, as a rule, is simply told to dig “from that stump to the landing.” At the same time, Corsair emphasizes that “it doesn’t work like that,” since “the defense must be continuous.”

He also lamented that crews simply don’t have the wood and concrete to work with. According to him, the brigades do not have the willpower to insist on this, and the operational-tactical group does not have the money.

As for construction equipment, according to Korsar, no one is involved in concluding agreements with businesses to provide it.
