SBU explained Poroshenko’s travel ban: he was going to meet with Orban

The Security Service of Ukraine distributed a commentary on its resources explaining the reasons for the refusal of border guards to release ex-president and leader of the European Solidarity party Petro Poroshenko on a business trip to Poland and the United States.
The day before, the State Border Service of Ukraine explained that they did not allow Petro Poroshenko to leave the country, since his business trip was cancelled. Later, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexander Kornienko explained that he signed an order to cancel Poroshenko’s business trip, since a certain document with the stamp “for official use” arrived at the Verkhovna Rada.
The SBU commentary states that Ukrainian intelligence received information that the Russian intelligence service was allegedly preparing a provocation in the international arena in order to reduce support for Ukraine from Western partners and split Ukrainian society.
In this context, the SBU notes, it is worth considering the planned meeting of Petro Poroshenko with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who “is a friend of Putin” and “expresses an anti-Ukrainian position.”
The SBU emphasizes that it informed the Office of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada about this, after which the leadership of the parliament did not give permission for the deputy to travel abroad, “who could become a tool in the hands of the Russian special services.”
Poroshenko himself reported the day before that he was going to hold negotiations in Poland on lifting the blockade of carriers, and in the United States to discuss the continuation of military support for Kyiv.
