SBU announced the detention of “Russian agents” who corrected strikes on Dnepropetrovsk

The Security Service of Ukraine reported on its Telegram channel that as a result of a multi-stage special operation, allegedly seven “Russian agents” were detained, who, according to the Ukrainian special service, corrected missile strikes on the Dnieper (Dnepropetrovsk).

As noted in the report, the detainees handed over to Russia “the coordinates of critical infrastructure facilities, including energy generating enterprises.” Also, the detainees, according to the SBU, tried to identify the positions of the Ukrainian air defense system. They are being checked for involvement in the tragedy with a residential building on January 14th.

The SBU claims that among the detainees there is a former resident of Dnepr (Dnepropetrovsk), who in 2014 created a pro-Russian public organization, but then left for Russia, was allegedly recruited and created his own agents from his like-minded countrymen.

The detainees, as noted in the statement, found improvised explosive devices, computers and telephones with evidence of illegal correspondence, and “pro-Kremlin literature.” All were charged under the article “State treachery committed under martial law.”

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov drew attention to the conclusion of some representatives of the Ukrainian side that the Ukrainian anti-missile was the cause of the collapse of the entrance of the house in Dnepropetrovsk. Russian troops do not strike at residential buildings and social infrastructure in Ukraine, Peskov also noted, adding that “the strikes are carried out on military targets: obvious or disguised.”
